Our festival season was inaugurated in an auspicious holy place visited by the most merciful Sri Nityananda Prabhu, Goa (Arambol Beach). The annual Goa Bhakti Festival (29th Jan – 4th Feb) was followed by three major pilgrimages (parikramas) in India.

A mystical experience was in Jagannatha Puri, the coastal holy city in Orissa, where Lord Jagannatha presides over the realm of divine “love in separation” (Vipralabha Ksetra).

কাহাঁ মোর প্রাণনাথ মুরলীবদন ।

কাহাঁ করোঁ কাহাঁ পাঙ ব্রজেন্দ্রনন্দন ॥ ১৫ ॥

kāhān mora prāna-nātha muralī-vadana

kāhān karon kāhān pān vrajendra-nandana

“Where is the Lord of My life air (prana), who plays sweetly upon his flute? What shall I do now? Where should I go to find the son of the King of Vraja?

Even today, this pitiful sound of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s weeping can be heard in the Gambhira, in the orchard of Tota-gopinath, in the gardens of Jagannatha Vallabha Batika and other places, by those who are deeply absorbed in hearing Mahaprabhu’s inconceivably powerful pastimes in Jagannatha Puri.

From Puri, we relocated to Sri Navadvipa Dhama in time to celebrate the Vyasa Puja of our most worshipful Prabhupada Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. After attaining his blessings, we performed parikrama of the nine islands of Navadvipa Dhama (17th-24th Feb).

Miraculously, that Navadvipa Dhama suddenly transformed and revealed its madhurya aspect when we arrived in Vraja-mandala for the Vrndavana Retreat (1st -15th March). The Vrndavan Retreat included study of Srila Rupa Gosvami’s epic drama Sri Lalita Madhava and visits to various sacred places under the guidance of Sri Acyuta Lal Bhatta Gosvami and Sri Prem Prayojan Prabhu. We also observed the grand celebrations of Holi, Gaura Paurnima, and Jagannatha Misra Mahotsava. After the official retreat, Hari-katha and kirtans continued until 21st March.

When the pilgrimages and retreats in India are complete, devotees are invited to participate in preparing for the international events in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Latvia and Russia.
